Garlic Butter Cheesy Croissant Bread Loaf

I finally gave the viral croissant bread loaf a try and decided to make it my own by adding garlic butter and a good melting cheese, and let me tell you — the melty layers and golden top did not disappoint.

Why this cheese

A good gouda was made for cooking. Rich, smooth, and perfectly melty, it melted right into each layer of the croissant for a cheese pull in every bite.

Recipe

  • 2 cans refrigerated croissant dough
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 2 tbsp jarred garlic)
  • 1 cup shredded gouda
  • 1 tsp garlic seasoning
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix melted butter, garlic, and seasoning in a small bowl.
  3. Unroll the croissant dough, keeping each triangle intact.
  4. Brush dough with the garlic butter and layer.
  5. Sprinkle shredded gouda and roll back up.
  6. Bake 20–25 minutes covered with foil. Uncover and bake an additional 15–20 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Let cool slightly, pull apart, and enjoy the melty cheese goodness.

Perfect for a cozy dinner side, weekend brunch, or honestly just standing in the kitchen pulling pieces apart while it’s still warm.
